Introduction
This article describes how to integrate with Rancher for remote orchestration of your edge deployments. You add Rancher as a third-party integration and authenticate to it with an API token.
Rancher is an enterprise-scoped integration. It connects your entire enterprise to an external orchestration platform, so you configure it once under the enterprise's third-party integrations.
Prerequisites
- You must have either the SysManager or SysAdmin role in your ZEDEDA Cloud enterprise.
- You have a Rancher API token for authentication.
Add the Rancher Integration
- Go to Enterprise > Third Party Integrations.
- Click the Add Integration card.
- Select the Remote Orchestration category from the dropdown list.
- Select Rancher from the dropdown list.
- Enter the Host.
- Enter the Port.
- Select API Token as the authentication type from the dropdown group list.
- Enter your Rancher API token.
- Click Add.
Verify the Configuration
- Confirm the Rancher integration appears in the integrations list.
- Confirm that Rancher can reach and orchestrate the connected edge resources.
