New in ZEDEDA Cloud Release 13.3
ZEDEDA Cloud versions
- ZEDEDA GUI: 13.3.5
- ZEDEDA API: 13.3.4
New features:
-
UI drawer components for Edge Node: UI Drawer enhances the user experience by providing quick access to essential information about Zededa objects. Drawers are mainly used in UI applications for users to access supplementary information from other dependent objects.
-
Enable/Disable Network Flow logs: Flow-logging is an EVE feature that allows to collect information about every application network flow. This includes attributes like src/dst IP, src/dst port, ACL rule applied, packet/byte counters, etc. Changes have been done in ZedCloud and ZedUI to enable and disable flow logs at project level.
-
Local network instance with multiple ports: This release introduces the ability to associate multiple physical ports with a local network instance through an adapter label concept. In addition it allows application port-mapping rules to be associated with adapter labels providing fine-grained control. This functionality simplifies redundant network designs by offloading multi-homing complexity from the application to the network instance.
- See Adapter Labels to group your edge node’s ports together so you can assign behaviors to each set.
- See Network Instances to use your adapter labels to select a group of ports for multi-path routing, providing redundancy and automatic failover.
- See How to add a container as an Edge App Type to use adapter labels for your inbound traffic rules.
- See Network Instances: a use case for an example of using adapter labels to implement multi-path routing with failover and port-forwarding restrictions.
Enhanced features:
-
Marketplace card changes and edge-app naming convention changes:
- Include the edge app version to the card display.
Known issues:
- The minimum EVE version required is 13.3.0 for supporting the Local network instance with multiple ports feature + Cost for app-shared interfaces feature.
